Laura LaRocca has built a successful career in Hollywood hair — spanning network sitcoms, prestige drama, feature films, and live award show television.
She is best known as Hair Department Head for Young Sheldon (CBS / Warner Brothers TV), where she led the department across all seven seasons and more than 150 episodes, bringing the hair design of the Cooper family and their 1980s Texas world to life for creator Chuck Lorre. That relationship continued on Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage, the Young Sheldon spinoff, where she returned as Hairstylist for Seasons 1 and 2.
Earlier in her career, Laura served as personal hairstylist to Mindy Kaling across five seasons of The Mindy Project (Hulu / Universal Entertainment). She went on to lead the hair department for Kaling’s follow-up series Champions. Her work on Felicity — the J.J. Abrams and Matt Reeves-created WB drama starring Keri Russell and Scott Speedman — remains one of the defining projects of her early career.
Her film work includes features with Keanu Reeves and Adrien Brody (The Last Time I Committed Suicide), Robert Downey Jr. and Ming-Na Wen (One Night Stand, directed by Mike Figgis), and Billy Bob Thornton (Don’t Look Back, HBO). She also served as Key Hairstylist on I Still Know What You Did Last Summer, featuring Jack Black and Jennifer Esposito.
In addition to her on-set work, Laura has served on the Local 706 Board of Trustees since 2025, and previously held board positions with the George Lopez Foundation (2015–2025) and the National Kidney Foundation of California (2011–2015). In 2026, she joined the styling team for the 98th Academy Awards ceremony.
